NOTICE OF SECURITY RE-RUN ELECTION & PROCEDURES

SECURITY OFFICER MEMBERS:

Pursuant to a voluntary compliance agreement between the United States Department of Labor, Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS), and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 26, a secret ballot election for the office of Security Officer Delegate (3 positions) is being conducted by SEIU Local 26 under OLMS supervision as described below.  By virtue of office, the Security Officer Delegates shall be delegates to the National Convention.

An election of Security Officer Delegates will be held on Saturday, November 21st, 2015, from 4:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at SEIU Local 26 offices located at 1620 Central Avenue NE, Suite 177, Minneapolis, MN 55413.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE ADDRESS OF OUR NEW OFFICE.

The following nominations have been verified and accepted by the Election Committee: Security Division Delegates (3) Kevin Chavis, Laura DeYoung, Robert Hightower, Romisha Jones

ELECTION PROCEDURES:

The vote will be by secret ballot.  Proxy voting, mail ballots, and write-in candidates are not permitted.   Any security division member who has paid dues through October, 2015, prior to 4:30 p.m. on November 20th, will be eligible to vote.  Further procedure details may be found at www.seiu26.org.
